Other Church & Ministry Resources
As we have gathered other tools for ministry, we’ve recognized that many of them would be useful in some form to churches and pastors more broadly. The following resources are free-of-charge, and most are adaptable to be useful for your purposes.
PCA Housing Allowance Form: one of the tax benefits for the ordained pastor is the “housing allowance” (see these posts on the Placement Reflections blog for more: part one, part two, part three). This form will provide you with an IRS-compliant documentation of your housing allowance. This PDF file contains interactive forms, allowing you to fill in most of the blanks on your computer before printing it for a signature. (Click here to download PDF)
Membership Profile: This document is adapted from the profile from Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA), Memphis, TN. Redeemer developed it from a similar profile from another church. (If you know of further origins of this document, please let us know!) It is designed to be completed before a Session interviews someone for membership. It is offered here as a PDF, and is formatted without names for generic use. (Click here to download PDF)
Premarital Counseling Questionnaire: When a couple who is not a part of your congregation requests premarital counseling, this questionnaire will help you get up to speed quickly about their backgrounds and what issues and potential difficulties they bring to the marriage and to the counseling environment. This PDF is formatted without names for generic use. (Click here to download PDF)
Advent Candle Readings: This one-page guide provides a brief mini-liturgy for lighting an Advent Wreath, with one reading for each of the four weeks in Advent, plus a reading for Christmas/Christmas Eve. This PDF is formatted plainly, and the text is copyable for use and adaptation. (Click here to download PDF)
Document Templates
Youth Worship Folder (Microsoft Word template): This document was developed for printing on a legal-sized (8½x14) page, double-sided, and tri-folded for distribution during a worship service. Its purpose is to provide younger worshipers with ways to begin interacting with worship, learning how to participate and be attentive to all that takes place during the service of worship. It is offered as a template for Microsoft Word, and is fully customizable by the user. (Click here to download Word template)
Youth Worship Folder (Apple Pages template): Same as above, but offered as a template for Apple’s Pages word processing/layout software. This one is also fully customizable by the user. (Click here to download Pages template)

Redeemer developed it from a similar profile from another church. (If you know of further origins of this document, please let us know!)
